Drum roll, please! Shoot, I’m so excited, call out the whole darn band.

To Have and to Hold, my VERY FIRST BOOK has finally hit bookstore shelves. There is no word grand enough to describe how excited I am to finally be achieving this milestone. (Check out the Books page for a sneak peak!)

This story’s journey began about four years ago when I started entering my first chapter in numerous RWA® sponsored writing contests. Before long, my hard work began to payoff, and my manuscript, then called
A Will To Love, began making the top cut. A few months of fabulous feedback and critiques, and I began placing in the top three, with the added bonus of editor requests.

Then the big one:  The Golden Heart. This is RWA’s top contest for unpublished authors. I made the finals (along with several other wonderfully talented authors), and just two weeks before the winners were announced, I got the phone call every writer dreams of.  I sold my “baby” on July 15, 2005, and now after more than two years of waiting, my turn has finally come.

Currently, I’m working on another story set in the fictitious town of Land’s Cross, Tennessee. I hope you drop by again soon for an update.
